SENSEI GIL COOK - Co-Founder & Program Director
Sensei Gil Cook has spent several years reviewing and studying contemporary sports, from amateur sports to Olympic, collegiate and professional level players. Sensei Cook worked to develop a program that is unique in that it does more than address warm up & conditioning, it actually modifies movement techniques during conditioning and play. His program integrates his unusual background lettering in three sports, applying his knowledge of close quarter combat martial arts while utilizing ergonomic principals from his Safety Training experience. Finally, he was able to apply his study of landing technique by U.S. Army Rangers for the utmost in performance maximization and sports play safety.
His initial goal is to help those youth athletes who have experienced an injury to prevent them from returning to play and performing the exact same techniques that injured them in the first place. From there, we plan on providing this training to all youth athletes to help reduce future repetitive stress injuries.
